Why Run For Office?
Serving on the BCLTA Board enables you to contribute to the library community at a provincial level.  Board members actively liaise with the membership to determine the key priorities, objectives and issues for BC’s libraries; advocate on behalf of libraries and trustees to all levels of government; build relationships with sister associations at the provincial and national level; and generally work to support and build the leadership capacity of BC’s library trustees.  Contributing to the advancement of library service in BC as an Executive member of BCLTA will enrich your own experience as a library trustee and assist your colleagues around the province to better serve their libraries and the public.
